What is our students opinion about the Greek language programs?
At Nine Muses, the teaching is tailored to make you go along. Sufficient time and energy is invested to make you learn satisfactorily. In less than eight weeks, I could read and write the basics of greek and I could begin to understand conversational and interactive ideals leading me to freedom to expressing myself in the most elementary form which is the necessity to all requirements in language learning.
I recommend ninemuses to anyone interested in wanting to know greek fast. Its just fantastic.

We wanted to study Greek so that we could communicate with our relatives in Greece. Also I think it is great to learn a classical language that not many people know. We had ASTERIAS books we also did ancient Greek masks, statuettes and Greek birthday invitations. What more, we did a few plays. I was pleased with the crafts we did as they taught us a little bit of Greek culture in a fun way.
My sister and I improved our speaking, reading, and writing tremendously this summer. All of our relatives commented on that. Ms Calliope was a very good teacher. She gave us a lot of homework and exercises to help us understand what we were learning. Here in the USA the teachers do not give us as much homework as our parents had in Greece growing up.
Since ms calliope gave us lots of homework, we got a taste of what our parents had to deal with growing up. This course was above and beyond our expectations! I think if you are willing to teach in the USA try. There are many more people than you can imagine who want to learn about the Greek culture and language.

I appreciated that I had a personal, private treatment. I learned more about my way of learning. Slow, deep, no hurry, being precise , and my expectation of myself changed. I liked very much being responsible for how much or what I learn in my course. I like the idea of maybe coming again next summer-so- that is enough expression of my 'ehrnug' (please repeat in German!)

I am not shy to speak anymore. I know I can speak Greek so from now on I will use it. The teacher always spoke to us in Greek and that helped a lot. I did not believe it would be so high quality. I am more than happy !
